Emerging Markets, Inc.

We demonstrate the viability of double-bottom line principles by executing place-based community development initiatives for major financial institutions and supermarkets via a neighborhood delivery system.

As Emerging Markets, Inc. defines our Double-Bottom Line (DBL), we strive to: 1) achieve social outcomes desired by local residents to improve their neighborhoods and quality of life and 2) develop low-income neighborhoods into economically viable markets for greater investment and commercial success. Emerging Markets, Inc. conducts its own business as a DBL firm, and staffs DBL initiatives for its clients.

As Emerging Markets, Inc. defines it, a "Neighborhood Delivery System" is a lightweight configuration of community-based organizations, informal associations, and natural helping networks that are loosely-linked for the purpose of community development. Once in place, this network can play multiple roles related to popular education, marketing, and product delivery for the region's businesses and industries. Our firm acts as the bridge that links the regional economy to the local nonprofit sectors to improve neighborhoods. The Neighborhood Delivery System is a big component of this bridge building.
